How to Become a Youth Football Official

• Contact a clinic that will offer the best training for youth officials.

• Clinics offer an entertaining educational workshop, plays from the 2007 season used to discuss mechanics, philosophy, rules, and experienced guest speakers.  It is very important to have experienced speakers at the youth level because they have first hand knowledge and are qualified teachers.

• These clinics are often seminars that you must attend to complete the examination and become a certified football official.

• There are several clinic schedules on the USA Football website, under officiating.  They all provide proper classroom teaching.  The educational resources for new and current officials to improve on skills are important to succeed.

Eliminating the Bench
